Hypertable is an open source, high performance, distributed database modeled after Google’s Bigtable. One of the top design objectives for Hypertable has been optimum performance. It differs from traditional relational database technology in that the emphasis is on scalability as opposed to transaction support and table joining - Hypertable is neither relational nor transactional. Its purpose is to store vast amounts of structured data and make that data easily available.
Hypertable for Windows supports 32/64-bit versions of Windows XP SP2, Windows Vista, Window 7, Windows Server 2003 SP1, Windows Server 2008 and Windows Server 2008 R2.
